MLB On-Field Jerseys To Be Made By Nike By 2020

MLB Nike Jerseys

MLB on-field jerseys to be made by Nike. According to a report from Sports Business Daily. Nike is set to complete a deal with Major League Baseball (MLB) to provide the on-field game jerseys for all thirty MLB teams starting in 2020.

Back in 2016 Under Armour had made a deal with MLB to be the official game jersey of MLB. But according to Terry Lefton of Sports Business Daily, that has changed.  With Under Armour having financial problems they have decided to pull back from the deal.  This can possible save them 50 million.

The deal between Nike and MLB is said to be 80% compete and possibly an official announcement could be made during the 2018 MLB All-Star game in Washington DC.

This could potential be exciting news for baseball jersey fans, because Nike would have more money power to produce and develop unique and exciting game jerseys for each team. While Under Armour, with its financial problems, may not have put in the money for the development of some exciting jerseys. Check out my article on the 5 reasons why I think this will be a great move for MLB, Nike, and baseball jersey fans.
